2017 FW Save the Date

Announcing RPIC’s New Forum on the Workplace!

The Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC) is pleased to announce the addition of its newest targeted professional development offering, the 2017 RPIC Forum on the Workplace. This inaugural Forum will be held on April 26 and 27, 2017 at the Ottawa Shaw Centre, in the Nation’s Capital in conjunction with the many celebrations of Canada’s 150th birthday.

Connectivity and multi-generational workforces are examples of the rapid changes occurring in our working environments leading to the greater need of understanding how the work environment is evolving; how people interact and collaborate with each other; and, how to leverage technology to facilitate these transitions. This Forum has been created to fill a need within the Real Property community and will provide a venue to have these important discussions. The 2017 theme will be Effective Accommodation Management: Lifting the Fog and will focus on the people, the places and the technologies that we interact with and manage daily.

The #RPICforum2017 program has been designed to provide clarity around critical workplace issues in the federal Real Property community. Keynote presentations and three streams of concurrent presentations will focus on the latest developments, trends and best practices in workplace management. Numerous networking opportunities and dedicated time to meet with members of the industry have also been incorporated into the program.

The three streams will dive deeper into the following topics:

  • Accommodation – examining the physical aspects of the work environment, including Workplace 2.0 and workplace solutions;
  • Technology – learning how business solutions, collaborative tools, and shared services influence;
  • Human Resources – considering the human element including change management, workplace wellness, new skills and competencies.

RPIC targets Real Property professionals within the federal government and other levels of government, academia and the private sector.
