On behalf of the Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC) Board of Directors and the Planning Committee, we are pleased to welcome all participants to the 2017 RPIC Real Property National Workshop. This is an excellent learning and networking opportunity for federal real property professionals to interact with our many partners from other levels of government, academia, and the private sector.

The Workshop program has been designed to provide the latest information on government policy, as well as industry trends, innovation and technology available. The theme of this year’s Workshop is Canada's Real Property – Beyond 150.

Meaningful change is currently prevalent in the platform and you will hear about how this change will affect you from coast to coast. With the Real Property National Workshop being RPIC’s catch all Workshop, be prepared to look to the future with the following streams:

Stream 1: Horizontal Collaboration/Clustering
Stream 2: Greening Government Operations/Clean Technology
Stream 3: Infrastructure Update
Stream 4: Security/Emergency Preparedness
Stream 5: Social Obligations

With the outstanding support of our senior leaders in the federal government, you will have the opportunity to learn about and be inspired by the exceptional work that is being undertaken and their vision for the future.

The Workshop will consist of a Professional Development Day that will offer in-depth training (November 14) and a two-day Workshop (November 15 and 16) that will feature sessions delivered by industry experts, a tradeshow that will bring innovative services, products, and new tools to the community's attention; and, our Awards and Recognition Dinner where we will shine the spotlight on the achievements of your colleagues in the real property community.

A special thank you to our many Workshop partners for ensuring the continued success of this important professional development initiative.

See you in November @ the Shaw Centre, Ottawa, ON
