Greening Government: An Interdisciplinary Approach
Delivering complex federal programs increasingly requires an inter-disciplinary approach. Organizational stove pipes and silos are gradually being torn down in favor of horizontal approaches that bridge the traditional divide between functions and leverage the expertise of many disciplines.
Join the Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC) and the Canadian Institute for Procurement and Materiel Management (CIPMM) on October 24th to learn about concrete examples of how the federal procurement, real property and materiel management communities have successfully worked together to deliver on the government’s Greening Government priority.
Francine Berry and Annick Champoux from Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) will:
- Highlight successes in greening the “accommodations” commodity and share lessons learned, tips and tricks for bridging the traditional divide between Procurement and Real Property.
- Lead an interactive discussion on how the Real Property, Procurement and Materiel Management communities can tackle the greening of other commodity areas such as construction, renovations and refits. Representatives from PSPC’s Real Property Sustainable Buildingshave kindly accepted to be on hand to contribute their expertise to the conversation.
