MontrealNovember 7, 2019
*This Lunch & Learn is being delivered in French

This session includes a light lunch and a presentation from Hélène Paquette, Executive Director, Investment and Project Management Policy Division, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat

Ann Tremblay

The recent Treasury Board approval of the Policy on the Planning and Management of Investments and the Directive on the Management of Projects and Programmes marks a major milestone in the modern comptrollership policy landscape.

Hélène Paquette will provide an overview of the Policy and Directive, as well as the related tools. This is also a wonderful opportunity to network and share experiences as your departments transition to full implementation of these policy instruments.

Hélène has a rich and diverse background in project management. Prior to her move to Treasury Board Secretariat, she was the co-chair of the Investment Planning and Project Management Community of Practice for several years where she brought the PM practitioners together for knowledge sharing and help evolve various project management files. She is now the co-chair of the Treasury Board Secretariat Advisory Committee on Project Management where she continues to bring the PM community together.

Hélène is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accounting and her finance background always has her focused on the stewardship of public funds. Recognizing the high cost of low performance, she is very passionate about the need to mature project management competencies and increase our capacity in the federal government.
