Assistant Deputy Minister, Real Property Branch

Kevin Radford was appointed Assistant Deputy Minister of the Real Property Branch, Public Services and Procurement Canada, on August 15, 2015.
In this role, Mr. Radford is responsible for the delivery of the entire suite of real property services to federal departments and agencies, including office accommodation, project management, real estate services and specialty services (environmental, architectural and engineering), the management of 18 engineering assets (bridges, dams, highways and dry docks) as well as the acquisition and disposal of federal real property. He also represents real property expertise internationally as the President of The Workplace Network.
Mr. Radford was a key leader in the creation of Shared Services Canada in 2011, where he served as Senior Assistant Deputy Minister, Operations, and was responsible for all back-office support, networks and security for 43 departments and agencies. Prior to this, he was Vice-President, Information Management and Information Technology, at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. He has held numerous senior executive positions in both the Chief Information Officer and Materiel/Procurement branches of National Defence. He served in the Canadian forces for 20 years.
Mr. Radford holds an engineering degree from the Royal Military College of Canada, a master's of business administration from the Schulich School of Business, and he participated in the executive program in supply chain and logistics management, also at the Schulich School of Business. He is a recent graduate of the Ivey Senior Public Sector Leader Program at Western University.
