Gearing Up for an Exciting Fall Workshop Lineup
It’s Sonia Powell here, back with another update on the new and exciting developments we’re turning our attention to at RPIC.
I am happy to share news of our Fall 2021 workshop lineup and other upcoming professional development opportunities for federal real property professionals. For the remainder of this year, our events will continue to be offered virtually. We are, however, planning a return to live and/or hybrid events when it is safe to do so, so stay tuned!
First out of the gate will be the 2021 RPIC Marine Infrastructure National Workshop, taking place from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST on September 21 through 23, 2021.
As a country with ocean coasts on three sides, seven percent of the world’s fresh water, and countless ports, harbours, canals and waterways, this workshop is Canada's go-to national forum on marine infrastructure development and management.
What to Expect:
- Three half-day sessions
- Two keynote speakers
- More than 30 breakout sessions
- Networking opportunities
- And a virtual trade show!
The RPIC Marine Infrastructure National Workshop will be a unique opportunity to hear from industry leaders in several areas, including:
- Coastal and Marine Engineering
- Port Planning and Operation
- Navigation and Waterways
Looking ahead, other upcoming workshops to note are:
- 2021 RPIC Real Property National Workshop (November 2 to 3, 2021)
This is RPIC's annual signature event, and one you won’t want to miss! The workshop offers a wide variety of sessions on key topics affecting real property. Topics discussed will be relevant to federal real property professionals, as well as other levels of government, private sector organizations, and academia.
- 2021 RPIC Federal Contaminated Sites National Workshop (November 15-18, 2021)
This world-class technical workshop brings together federal real property leaders and professionals, along with industry representatives from across Canada. You will learn about technical, scientific, and organizational innovations, as well as best practices for the management and remediation of federal contaminated sites.
Details on registration and programming will be available on our website in the coming weeks. In the meantime, follow RPIC on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, and sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop as new developments arise!
We also want to share information on our upcoming Professional Development Days, as well as webinars that we’ll be offering through the remainder of 2021. Be sure to check these out, as there is something for everyone and they include some free sessions as well as those requiring paid registrations.
Our success is built on partnerships and teamwork. I want to recognize the amazing work of our volunteers and thank our federal and private sector partners for their financial support and the generous gift of their time and expertise! I also want to recognize our Board of Directors, the Senior Advisory Council, and all our committee volunteers who are so instrumental in setting new and ambitious directions and helping us achieve new milestones for the Institute!
