With the increasing attention on the availability and affordability of housing, there has been a corresponding interest in examining the potential for leveraging the Government of Canada (GC) portfolio of real property assets to support rapidly growing housing and other community needs. One of the key opportunities for leveraging the portfolio is through adaptive reuse of assets (the repurposing of existing buildings or lands for alternate uses).
