- The Program Director, Professional Development is responsible for providing leadership, knowledge, experience, and skills for the following tasks:
- Optimize the value and relevance of RPIC’s professional development (PD) program content to achieve the desired training outcomes.
- Optimize RPIC’s PD program design and delivery by identifying program resource needs and establishing/maintaining required processes, procedures, and timelines.
- Engage other RPIC staff, service providers and volunteers to ensure a collaborative, coordinated approach to the management and promotion of RPIC’s professional development offerings and creating an enhanced user experience.

- The Director of Operations is responsible for managing and overseeing RPIC’s daily operations and ensuring that they align with and support the Institute’s strategic plan and operational plans. The incumbent will:
- Analyze RPIC’s current and projected operational needs to develop sustainable approaches/solutions to secure the required personnel, technology, and service providers to deliver programs and services to support the professional development needs of the federal real property community.
- Provide leadership and oversight to facilitate increased horizontal management and integration of the Institute’s operations with the view of continuously improving business operations, programs, and projects.
- Enhance relationship building to create a strategic, integrated approach to effective partnerships and outreach, with emphasis on building sustainable relationships, collaborative opportunities, and overall support for RPIC.

- We are seeking candidates with experience in managing human and financial resources, with strong business acumen and strategic leadership experience directing the development and implementation of programs or operational service delivery initiatives. As an asset, experience providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management, plus strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills will make you an excellent candidate to join the RPIC team!

- Please note that upon submission to RPIC, written support from your supervisor is required.
- You will report administratively through the Executive Director of RPIC, who is charged with providing strategic advice the RPIC Board of Directors and overseeing the implementation of RPIC’s strategic plan. You will work alongside other RPIC staff members, service providers, and numerous volunteers, including the Board of Directors.
- Depending on your organization, the length of the assignment will be between 12 – 24 months, with the possibility of an extension.
- Contact your supervisor to discuss the opportunity. You will need the support of your home organization to proceed, as your salary and benefits are typically covered by the home organization during the assignment with RPIC.
- With your organization’s support, submit an up-to-date CV along with a one-page summary outlining your interest in contributing to RPIC. Please send the above information, and the name of your organization’s contact person to: [email protected].
- Your organization is providing an ‘in-kind resource” as a demonstration of its commitment to the professionalization of the federal real property workforce.
- You will be on an Interchange placement from your organization; however, your full salary, increments and benefits will continue to be paid to you by your home organization. Additionally, you will use the electronic devices provided by your organization and continue to have access to your Government of Canada email address.
- You will return to your home position after the end of your assignment.
RPIC is happy to have informal discussions with supervisors to provide information on assignments to RPIC. Submissions for potential Interchange with RPIC do require the support of both the supervisor and the employee.
