Prior to becoming RPIC’s Executive Director, Nancy Fahey served as our Director, Business Sustainability on an Executive Interchange.  She also previously served as a volunteer and a RPIC Board. Nancy brings over 34 years of federal government experience in real property and procurement; intergovernmental and industry relations; security management including incident command structure and cabinet affairs. Over the course of her career, Nancy had the pleasure to work at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Public Services and Procurement Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Alexandra Bushell joined the RPIC Leadership Team in February 2024, in a newly created position of Director of Planning.

Cameron McEwen joined the RPIC Leadership Team in September 2024 as part of the Interchange Program, to further bolster collaboration and engagement efforts with RPIC partners.

Cam comes to RPIC as an executive from National Defence in Ottawa where he led the planning and programming of real property investments in support of the current and evolving needs of the Canadian Armed Forces, and also led innovative greening government efforts to ensure alignment with departmental and Government of Canada commitments on clean energy and greenhouse gas reduction.

Cam has held progressively advanced positions in multiple federal departments and the Treasury Board Secretariat since 1996, including those related to programme/project management, stakeholder relations, policy development/analysis, governance and funding approvals for numerous key Government of Canada priorities.

Robin joined the RPIC Leadership Team in March 2025 as Director, Business Sustainability as part of an Executive Interchange between Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and RPIC.  Before joining RPIC, Robin spent ten years at PSPC; most recently in Real Property Services Branch, as the Director General responsible for the $5B Real Property budget, revolving fund, governance, policy suite, and Treasury Board submissions, and as the champion of Mental Health.  Before that, Robin performed a dual role as the DG responsible for the Financial Management Advisory services for PSPC’s five regions, Real Property Services, and the Science, Parliamentary Infrastructure Branch. Robin previously held the role of Senior Director in the Translation Bureau, responsible for Parliamentary, Official Languages, Foreign Languages and Sign Languages Interpretation. Earlier in her career, Robin served as Director in the Internal Audit and Evaluation Branch (audit planning, risk assessment, audit committee, methodology, reporting); as Director of Executive Services, and as a DG responsible for Facilities Management and Security at Industry, Science and Economic Development.

Rosa has been a longstanding contributor to RPIC, having served as President and in other Board of Director roles. She retired from the Treasury Board Secretariat in 2021 and is currently serving as our Director of Governance.

Scott Hamilton joined the RPIC Leadership Team in February 2024 as a Senior Advisor. He is currently leading the RPIC Mentorship and Awards of Excellence programs, initiatives that foster professional growth and celebrate leadership across Canada’s real property sector. He also serves as Executive Director of the National Executive Forum on Public Property (NEFPP), a collaborative leadership network dedicated to advancing innovation, stewardship, and strategic dialogue in public real property management.

With over 30 years of experience in the federal public service—including a decade at the helm of real property initiatives— Scott has led transformative projects, built high-performing teams, and championed sustainable, people-first approaches to service delivery. His work reflects a deep commitment to public value, strategic foresight, and collaborative leadership that strengthens Canada’s real property community.

His leadership philosophy is grounded in the African proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” This belief drives my commitment to inclusive leadership, knowledge-sharing, and sustainable, people-centred solutions.

Sonia Powell is a Real Estate executive who started her career in 1993. She has broad experience in project management, contracting, and setting policy direction, with specific expertise in office portfolio strategy and workplace strategy. Sonia is on a mission to show organizations how they can successfully implement hybrid working.

Sonia holds a bachelor of engineering degree from Memorial University and a certificate as a functional specialist in real property from the Government of Canada. She has recently obtained a Deloitte Faculty Excellence (DFX) facilitator certification from Deloitte University North.

After 30 years of public service, she retired from her position as Director General, Accommodation Management and Workplace Solutions within Public Services and Procurement Canada’s Real Property Services Branch, overseeing the workplace transformation program for the Government of Canada. Over the course of her career she has been responsible for a diverse portfolio including marine procurement, environmental engineering, facilities management, technical services, surface programs (highways), and the management of bridges and dams. She has worked in a number of federal departments including Public Services and Procurement Canada, the Department of National Defence, and Transport Canada.

Sonia actively contributes to the Real Property community and has been a member of the Real Property Institute of Canada (RPIC) Board of Directors since 2015, serving in a number of positions on the Executive, including President and Past President. She is currently serving as a member of RPIC’s Senior Advisory Council and is proud to join the CoreNet Global Canadian Chapter Leadership Council.

Real estate and planning are part of Sonia’s everyday life. On weekends, Sonia loves planning her next home renovation project or planning her next travel destination.
